ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

• Trained youth from five fishing villages in Chennai to perform the sea turtle community conservation program successfully and duplicated program in 14 fishing villages in Nellore and 25 more villages from Muttukadu- Alambara, a stretch of 86 k.m. 2009-2010.
• Guided volunteers to start Tree Roots & Shoots Groups
• Conducted awareness programs for more than 22,450 students in the last 5 years on environment and sea turtle conservation.
• Conducted public sea turtle walks
• Organized U.N. Peace day celebrations for the last 6 yrs
• Acted as consultant to local zoos to upgrade outreach programs and living conditions of zoo animals.
• Organized international coastal cleanup day for the last 3 years involving more than 8,000 volunteers.
• Organized flipper fest 07 and 08- ‘A Marine Biodiversity Conservation And Low Carbon Initiative Awareness Program' for 5000 school and college students and the general public ( ongoing program every September first week)
• Was selected for the Jane Goodall global youth summit 2008 to present a workshop on wildlife conservation and community development.
• Selected as Global Fellow 2008 of Nicholas School Of Environment Duke Marine Laboratory, course on Sea Turtle Biology And Conservation Biology And Policy- July 2008
• Studied dolphin training and sea turtle satellite tagging at Mote Marine Lab-Sarasota, USA June -August 2009
